World War Two

Pearl Harbor

Next we come to World War II. Here is a war that few Americans could argue was a bad war to fight. Not only were we fighting against a fascist, nihilistic Germany in Europe, Internment Camps but we were also fighting an Imperialistic Japan in the Pacific. Surely, if ever there was a “good war” this was it. But what happened here in the United States during that time? How did The Bill of Rights fare in this time of intense strife? Unfortunately we see that once again our government used the excuse of security to ignore The Bill of Rights. We know that Americans of Japanese ancestry were rounded up, their property confiscated and they were sent to concentration camps.
